SKETCH

Hellooo! Been really busy and both lazy these days haha! Currently enjoying the summer holidays wit Trevor! :P Maximum relaxation!!

During May, we had a happy little trip to London :) Took a visit to SKETCH, which is designed by Philippe Starck and other famous designers. The iconic feature is the egg shaped toilets, which is nicely designed that creates an edgy feeling when using the toilet haha!

Pictures are quite dark because the space itself is very dim and there's a touch of pinkish, orangeish and purplish lights. I think we were the youngest customer in the restaurant :P

Irish rock oysters / sliced scallops and smoked parsley galette /
green apple with Espelette pepper (apple sauce)
(6/10)

Very heavy seafood taste, very interesting green jelly mixed with the seafood dipped with the apple sauce. The apple sauce lights up the heavy seafood flavour, gives it a bit of refresh.

Green ravioli with béchamel and eggs (7.5/10)

The broth was nicely done, not too thick nor thin with a special flavour. But not a super yummy dish as we've tried raviolis in other restaurants before.

Grilled organic salmon glazed with honey (7/10)

Very ordinary dish, thought it would be super yummy but it wasn't as Trevor commented "Even my mum can cook better than this." haha agreed but generally acceptable.

Overall, we think that the environment and atmosphere is much better than the food. The interior design and the very nice toilet space with the egg shaped toilets, so we'll give (9.8/10) to Mr. Philippe Starck hahaha! ;D Good to try an edgy fusion cuisine though :)
